Why we built it.
Most electrolyte drinks left us either thirstier than we started or sitting with an upset stomach, because so many pass off excess salt and sugar as "isotonic" and somehow good for you. We got tired of reading labels we could not pronounce and decided to build the cleaner version we wished existed, one we feel good drinking every day and comfortable giving our own kids on the sideline.
The team behind it
Athleton is built by founders who span software, design, and science. Our background includes two decades building and scaling technology companies, a formally trained design and brand practice, and a family rooted in science, with expertise across immunology, biotechnology, food science, and fermentation technology.
That mix is the whole point. The science background keeps us honest about formulation. The design background means every can is made with care. And the builder background means we sweat the details, from the ingredient list to the way we talk to you.
What we stand for
Radically clean. Every ingredient you can pronounce. Athleton is coconut water and prickly pear, sea salt and magnesium malate, with potassium that comes free from the coconut water, sweetened only with natural sources such as honey* or dates. No artificial sweeteners, no stevia or monk fruit, no sugar alcohols, no artificial dyes, no caffeine.
We would rather say no to a long list of additives than compromise on what goes in. If we would not give it to our own families, it does not go in the can.
